A child’s mind is like a Tabula Rasa ( Blank Slate), where experiences, learning, and knowledge will be written on to grow up and adapt to the environment in harmony. This is a slate that should not be used to make a robot to specify the operations what to do? Or what not to do? What to think? And what not to believe? Instead, they should be imbibed with a mechanism which enhances “how to think”. This practices the principle of liberty and moves parallel with a child’s free will. However, there were tools to manifest this mechanism, and education is the prime one among them, where teachers or family acts as a medium to reach it. In India, most of the schools practise “Higher marks, Topper the one”, which enables the child to rote memorise teacher thoughts/materials rather than a real-time practice of such learned material where western subjects used to do.
To ladder up such situations, Decisions making varied options should be given to a child, especially a girl child and scaffolding by family/school with values, ethics, and rationality manifest the productive individual and specific feedback to children for futuristic/rational thinking reinforce child to do the same in future. India and quite many countries in Asia are already facing such a situation by experiencing the lack of indigenous materials and relying more on foreign parts/imports. The unemployment rate, intolerance, and lack of scientific temper lead a section of people to follow the path of Magic rather than Logic. Hence the number of Godmen seems to be more than the scientists are pretty lucidly visible. Transformation in child/seed with the liberty of thoughts and encouraging such attitude helps the development of economic/political/cultural aspects.
